Josie Daniels Obituary

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel 4278 Lafayette Street Marianna, Fl 32446 850-482-2332 Josie Renell Tipton Daniels Josie Renell Tipton Daniels, after an extended illness, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, November 27, 2011. She was 75 years of age. She was born and raised in the Two Egg-Dellwood community of Jackson County, but lived most of her life in Marianna. She retired from the State of Florida Department of Corrections in 1998, after 24 years of dedicated service. "Jo", as she was known to many, enjoyed gardening, cooking, eating out with the "girls", and she loved her family dearly, especially her husband of 56 years. She was a Jehovah's witness in which she especially loved and deeply respected her faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Dorothy Myrtle Tipton of the Two Egg community, and one sister, Jerry Tipton Rogers, formerly of Ozark, Alabama. She is survived by her husband, Frank Daniels; one daughter, Lisa Daniels Nowell and her husband Don, all of Marianna; one sister, Myra Tipton Simmons of Orlando; one grandson Don Alexander (Alex) Nowell of Panama City, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of cousins. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 1 at 10 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Jehovah's Witness Elder Dale Harris officiating, and James and Sikes Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at visitation on Wednesday, November 30, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice of Marianna. The family, at this time, would like to thank all of those friends and relatives who visited and provided meals to the family. A special thank you to Chipola Medical Associates, Dr. Joe H. Gay, and the wonderful staff of Emerald Coast Hospice. Expressions of sympathy may be made online at www.jamesandsikesfuneralhomes.com

Frank and Lisa, this is Myran Jarmon. I now live in Dothan, Al. I was saddened to hear of Nellie's passing away. I have many good memories of working with her at the Credit Bureau and attending the meetings at the Kingdom Hall together. Frank, I know you will miss her dearly, but just remember that this is going to be corrected soon when Jehovah calls Nellie back to live in his promised paradise, it is left up to us now to work hard to greet her back. We all make mistakes and fall short but Jehovah is a loving God of mercy for us.
With love,
Myran Julie Jarmon
