Alvin Cudworth Obituary

Alvin Ray "Ray" Cudworth, 86

Alvin Ray "Ray" Cudworth, 86, of Monticello, passed away at 2:57 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at the St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.

He was born November 17, 1928, in Roberts, Illinois, to the late Alvin Nellwell and Edith (Siela) Cudworth. On July 3, 1952, while home on leave from the military, he married Delores L. Voglund at the Goodland United Methodist Church Parsonage in Goodland; she passed away on Monday, October 3, 2005.

Surviving are children, Rex (Barb) Cudworth of Winamac, Janice (John) Burgin of Frankfort, and Gary Cudworth of Francesville; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd (Betty) Cudworth, and Jay (Judith) Cudworth, both of Indianapolis, and Loren "Pete" Cudworth of Lafayette; and sisters, Ann (Paul) Hensley of Avon, and Jeannie (Pryce) Marshall of Englewood, Ohio.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m., December 21st at the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, and from 10 to 11 a.m. December 22nd at the Buffalo Christian Church of Buffalo. Celebration of Life Service will be at the church at 11 a.m. December 22nd.

Burial with Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello will be at the Hughes Cemetery in rural Monticello.

Memorials may be given to the Buffalo Christian Church of Buffalo.
