Amy Jones Obituary

Amy Ellen Jones

Amy Ellen Jones of St. Louis, Missouri peacefully passed away on October 6th, 2016 after a short illness. She was born in Danville Illinois to George and Ismelda Haas on December 5th, 1974. Amy was a member of St. Justin Martyr Church, St. Louis Missouri.

Amy was an avid traveler and visited many states and countries always looking for adventure and exploring new places. She was a strong religious influence for her family and was confirmed Catholic in 2011. She loved to collect Rosaries on all our trips, as well as collecting a new Christmas ornament for the Christmas tree every year. When Amy was younger she volunteered at the Red Cross and always had great memories of being able to help those in need. Amy worked hard her whole life to make sure that her kids, family, and friends had what they needed. She was very social, full of wit and humor, she was the life of the party. But her favorite thing in life was family.

Amy is survived by her best friend and husband Brian Jones (parents Larry and Tina Jones) of West Lafayette Indiana; a daughter Samantha Jones and son Devin Chancey both of St. Louis Missouri; a son Gregory Jones of West Lafayette Indiana; her mother Ismelda Santillana of St. Louis Missouri; her father George Haas (wife Kim) of State Line City Illinois; a sister Angela Porter (husband Mike) of St. Louis Missouri; and a large family too numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by a brother Avery Haas; a step brother Jason Wangler; and several grandparents.

Time and date of the funeral service will be 1:00 pm on October 22, 2016 at Church of the Blessed Sacrament 2224 Sacramento Dr, West Lafayette Indiana 47906, Fr. Ted Dudzinski officiating. A celebration of her life to take place directly after at Faith West Church 1920 Northwestern Ave, West Lafayette Indiana 47906. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to give to the charity of their choice on behalf of Amy. Her favorite charity was Red Cross.
