Brayden Denton Obituary
Brayden Lee Denton, 5, of Earl Park died at 11:15 pm, Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Riley Children's Hospital, Indianapolis after a 13 month fight with brain cancer.
Brayden, born on February 12, 2009 at Home Hospital, Lafayette was the greatest joy his mother, Staci Denton could have ever asked for.
He attended Bethany Child Care and Pre-school in Lafayette.
Brayden enjoyed all sports but absolutely loved baseball. Being the typical "American Boy" he enjoyed superheroes, especially Spiderman. He would watch the Spiderman movies over and over and last weekend he even went to the movie theater to see the latest Spiderman movie. His mom, Staci also stated that he was crazy about the monkey bars and would play until his little hands were blistered. She would tell him that it was enough and he would wait until her back was turned and then run back to the monkey bars. Brayden brought a smile to everyone who knew him and to know him was to love him.
He is survived by his mother, Staci Denton of Earl Park; His grandparents, Karen Rodgers (husband: Junior) of Earl Park; grandfather, Tony Denton of Earl Park; 2 uncles, Cory Denton of Lafayette, Lucas Denton of Earl Park, 1 step-aunt, Kalin Rodgers of New York, 2 cousins, Brad and Niki Denton of Indianapolis, and great-grandparents, Delmer Denton (wife: Ellen) of Gilman, IL.
He was preceded in death by his great grandma, Helen Denton and great-grandparents, Melvin and Laura Laird.
Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 pm (CST), Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home in Kentland.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am (CST), Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home, Kentland with Rev. Kevin A. Bowers of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Lafayette officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Kentland.
Memorial Donations may be given in Brayden's name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or to Riley Children's Hospital Hematology/Oncology (HEMOC) Department.
In celebration of Brayden's life and his love of superheroes, guests are encouraged to wear your best superhero t-shirts or clothing.

Lost my Grand-daughter to brain cancer (Intrinsic Diffuse Pontine Glioma) when she was 6. My prayers are with you and your family. Lost her 6 years ago and still midd her terribly. If you would like to see her you can type her name in the search window, Cheyanne Chantry. Maybe they're walking togrther now. Again my heart goes out to you and I hope God gives you comfort.

lost my son with brain cancer as well wished they had a cure he died in 1983,they came out with some kind of cure an some people have lived for another 5 yrs.Im sorry for your loss he was so young,my prayers for all of you,just so sad..judy
