Charles Nichols Obituary
Lafayette - Charles Edward Nichols, 91, of Lafayette died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his residence.
He was born October 10, 1926 in Benton County, Indiana to the late Ed and Maggie (Bell) Nichols.
He graduated from the Gilboa High School and the University of Indianapolis.
He served his country in the United States Navy from February of 1950 to December of 1953.
Mr. Nichols was employed by Lafayette Life Insurance Company for over 30 years.
Surviving are his two sons, Lee E. Nichols (wife: Linda) of Lafayette, and Robin D. Nichols of Otterbein. Also, a grandson, Timothy L. Nichols of Otterbein, and a sister, Mary Jo Baughman of Fort Wayne.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Roxie (Fair) Nichols.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Celebrant Chris
Dodson will officiate. Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Military honors will be performed by the American Legion Post 11 and the U.S. Navy. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Vale Cemetery. Please share memories and condolences online at www.hippensteelfuneralservice.com.
