Destiny H. Davis, 22

Destiny H. Davis, 22, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 4:13 p.m. in the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital. Destiny was born on November 3, 1991 in Lafayette, the daughter of Dwayne E. Davis (stepmother, Maria) and Tina Hamilton, and they survive and live in Lafayette. Destiny was educated at Lafayette Jefferson High School, and then went on to work in Production for SIA and Kirby Risk. Destiny loved listening to music, spending time with her friends and family, especially her daughters Hayley Hale and Leah Whorton who are still at home.

In addition to her parents, Destiny is survived by a sister, Katelyn Davis of Lafayette; brothers, Chris (Tina) Shepard of Lafayette, Dustin Kosteroski of Chicago, Seth Davis of Lafayette, Drew Darling of Lafayette, Dylan (Joci) Darling of Lafayette and D.J. Davis of Lafayette; grandparents, Wil and Sandy Davis of Monticello; grandmother, Janice Martin of Lafayette, and great grandmother, Gertrude Cole of New Albany, IN. Destiny was preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry Hamilton, and fiancé, Jeff Whorton.

A visitation will take place on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM at Simplicity Funeral Care, 1608 Schuyler Avenue in Lafayette. Pastors Joe Park and Gary Oglesby will officiate. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for the benefit of Destiny's girls. I can not believe it has been 10 years today. Sis I miss you so much. I sit and think how life would be if you were still here. I miss that smile and laugh so much. Baby girl you will forever live on in the hearts and minds of everyone that knew you. You left impressions. Until I see you again, I love you.

Sitting here thinking of you. Your laugh , smile , your attitude about life. I miss you so much. We had such a wonderful talk that day. I remember that little girl in black Patton leather shoes running all over with that beautiful smile. You grew up into a wonderful young lady. A wonderful mother and a wonderful daughter. This has been a year already. Sad year. Happy to. Your brother just had a son , you have so many beautiful nieces and nephews . You would love them all. And I know they would love Aunty Dest. I miss you my sweet girl. Say ,”hi” to grandpa. God must of needed him. None of us were ready for him to go. But God had other plans. Know we all miss you and love you sooooo much!! Sorry for the loss. Destany was a very sweet girl. I miss seeing her smile and happy when she was young when I would take time with her. To play, twirl her around or even just go out for a ice cream. I wish I could have been around for her longer. Miss and love you. Family is in my prayers
