Donald Jackson Obituary
Donald F. Jackson Sr., of Lafayette, IN passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at his residence.
Donald was born on October 30, 1941 in Lafayette to the late Floyd and Jane (Rhoda) Jackson Dargis. Donald retired in 2004 from Egyptian Lacquer; he was an avid gun collector, a frequent visitor at the gun range, avid NASCAR and football fan, and garage sale flea market supporter. Don liked to watch Dog the Bounty Hunter and was a reality show enthusiast. Most of ALL Don was a loving Father, Grand Father and a friend to everyone.
Survivors are: companion Jean Connors, Lafayette, sons Donald Jr., Lafayette, David (Sherrie) Cain, Delphi, IN, Jamie Jackson, Clarks Hill, IN, daughters Donna (Paul) Clevenger, Dayton, IN, Kimberly (Tom) Northrup, Joleen (Jeremy) Smith, West Lafayette, Ashley Ket, Dayton, IN, brother Jack (Carol) Jackson, Lafayette, sisters Sharon Garretson, Tipton, IN, Nancy Banta, Terra Haute, IN, 25 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, son Todd Smith, grandson Kraig Fitzgerald.
A funeral service will held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in the Chapel Of Faith, family and friends may call two hours prior to the service at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in the Chapel Of Faith.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Sunset Funeral Home In-Charge of local arrangements.
