Donna Janssen Obituary
Donna K. (Mullin) Janssen, 67, of Lafayette, passed away at 12:45 am, Friday, October 16, 2015 at St. Mary's Healthcare.
Born March 19, 1948 in Logansport, she was the only child of the late Donald H. and Evelyn (Zebrowski) Mullin. Donna graduated from East Tipp High School in 1966.
Her marriage was to Jim Janssen on November 16, 1968 in Lafayette and they raised three children together. He survives.
Donna had worked as a clerk with National Home Acceptance Corporation, was a reading tutor at Herschey Elementary School, and most recently, was a claims analyst with the Arnett Clinic, retiring after 17 years. She was a former member of Buck Creek United Methodist Church, Colburn Extension Homemakers Club, a member of Order of the Eastern Star #374, and belonged to a car club shared with neighbors and friends. She enjoyed playing euchre and camping with her family.
Surviving with her husband, Jim Janssen, are their children, Michelle Conwell of Lafayette, and Todd Janssen (companion: Cassie McGinnis) of Lebanon; and three grandchildren, Thomas Conwell, Shaden Janssen, and Jaxon Janssen.
Preceding her in death with her parents was a daughter, Jill Janssen, who passed away in 1981 at the age of 10.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm, Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service at 10 am, Monday, October 19, at the funeral home, with Fr. Ambrose Ziegler officiating. Burial to follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in Donna's honor to the ALS Association (6525 E. 82nd St. Suite 115, Indianapolis, IN 46250).
