Fern Walters Obituary
DELPHI — Fern Walters, 86, of Delphi, passed away on Dec. 17, 2013, at Whispering Pines in Monticello.
Fern was born to the late Vernie "Pete" and Flossie (Elliott) Pearson on Oct. 25, 1927 in Carroll County, Indiana. She was a graduate of Buck Creek High School.
She married Gerald "Junior" Walters on Dec. 23, 1947 in Carroll County and he preceded her on Jan. 25, 2005.
Mrs. Walters was a homemaker and seamstress. She enjoyed sewing and watching college sports and reading James Whitcomb Riley poetry. She especially loved her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Susan Brubaker (husb: Lynn) and Peggy Dale (husb: Skip); sons: Brian (wife: Kathy) and Bruce Walters, all of Delphi; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Pastor Dan Gottschalk will officiate. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens at Pittsburg.
Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to Carroll Manor or the donor's favorite charity.

Sorry to hear of Ferns passing. She sure was a character every time I would see her on the street or when I would wait on her at the bank. I enjoyed talking to her and her comments were pretty right on the head. You all are in our prayers.
