Gary Light Obituary
Gary Gordon Light, 68, passed away on May 2, 2013 in Cape Coral, Florida.
He was born on March 4, 1945 to the late Mable Ratclift and Gordon Light.
Gary graduated from Goodland High School and Purdue University. He started Light House Home Center in Lafayette. He also owned his own real estate company in Cape Coral, Florida.
Surviving are a daughter, Jan Robertson (Darrell Graves); a granddaughter, Falon; a sister, Janice "Jan" Wright (Rex) of Wolcott; a nephew, Doug Wright (Terri) of Lafayette; a niece, Colleen Wright of Florida; a half sister, Sheila Light; and step-mother, Joetta Light of Goodland.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie and his wife, Cindy.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. Friends may call from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Almost Home Animal Shelter.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I will never forget how sweet and helpful your brother was when my family and I lost our home to fire and Gary helped us build our modular to replace what we lost. He was our true hero and such a caring person as are you. Prayers your way to deal with your loss. Love you

Sorry to hear of the loss of Gary. He was the former landlord for our nonprofit group here in Cape Coral & Fort Myers. I have known Gary for 8 years. We found out that we grew up about 7 miles apart (Earl Park). He was a kind man & I am sorry that we lost touch over the last year. My prayer are with your family & I pray that he is finally at peace.
