Our deepest condolences to your family Barb. I never met your daddy but as to one friend from another, he seemed liked he was pretty awesome. I know the grieving you're having cuz i lost my daddy 3 years ago. I'm praying for you all as you lay him to rest this morning. Love you all

There will be an empty chair at the holiday table this year, but it will be filled with loving memories.

George and I served together aboard the USS Shields DD-596 and he will be missed by all of his shipmates. To the family we are so sorry.
The below is so appropriate to remember George by:
Afterglow
I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun
of happy memories
that I leave when life is done.
