Jon Anthony Dyer

28, of Independence, died at 9:17 a.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis due to complications from a traffic accident.

Jon was born in Lafayette on July 9, 1988. He was the son of Burl "Troy" and Teresa F. (Farrar) Dyer. He had lived all of his life in the Independence area and graduated from Seeger High School in 2007.

Jon worked as a concrete finisher for Tunis Concrete in Lafayette for the past five years. He liked to spend time outdoors, especially mushrooming, hunting and fishing. He always played in a Wednesday night pool game and loved to talk around the fire with friends and family.

Jon married Katrina "Katie" Zink on June 27, 2015 in Independence. She survives along with his parents, "Troy" Dyer of Riverside and Teresa F. (fiancé-Raymond Clark) Dyer of Riverside; a brother, Cody (companion-Brianna) Dyer of Riverside; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Lisa Zink of Independence; sister-in-law, Erica Zink of Independence; brother-in-law, Richard Zink, Jr. of Lafayette; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will take place at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Tuesday, Nov 29, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. Condolences may be sent online at www.mausfuneralhome.com
