Kevin Keefe Konrad, 19

Kevin Keefe Konrad, 19, Brooklyn, N.Y., died Dec. 18, 2012, in Brooklyn.

A memorial service took place on Dec. 30, at the Church of St. Saviour in Brooklyn. A funeral is planned at a later date in Indiana.

Kevin, born May 31, 1993, in New York City, was a graduate of St. Saviour Catholic Academy and Brooklyn Technical High School, both in Brooklyn. He was a sophomore at the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y. He was a member of St. Saviour parish and a lifelong New York Yankees fan. He was a member of the golf team at Brooklyn Tech, where he added his name to the short list of family members with a hole-in-one.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Teresa Marie Keefe, and father, Scott Alan Konrad, of Brooklyn. Teresa is a native of Earl Park, and Scott is from Effingham, Ill. He leaves two brothers: Caleb, 16, and Ian, 13.

Other survivors include: grandparents, Thomas and Janet (Tabert) Keefe of West Lafayette; aunts, Colleen (Ryan) Warren of West Lafayette and Angela (Jeff) Holt, of Fishers; uncles, Tom (Maria) Keefe of Hinsdale, Ill., Mike Konrad of Brooksville, Fla., Kurt (Barbara) of Shumway, Ill.; and 11 cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents Keith and Helen (Devall) Konrad of Effingham, Ill.

A scholarship is being established in Kevin's name at St. Saviour Catholic Academy, 701 Eighth Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11215. Donations may also be made to the Police Athletic League of New York City at www.palnyc.org. The family may be contacted at 160 Prospect Place, No. 2, Brooklyn, NY 11238.
