Our Prayers and thoughts with Marshall's family and friends.
I first met Marshall at Trader Horn in 1972 at the age of 12. Bought my first Remington 22 and Eagle Claw fishing rod from there.
My Dad, Bob Stern, and their friends, John Shen and George Faerber spent numerous trips both hunting and fishing with Marshall. John, Marshall and my Dad fished Dogtooth Lake in Canada for years. I have great pictures of them together.
I was shocked when I heard he had just passed, What a Man, what a Life.
May God Bless you all.

Marshall and Dorothy were my old neighbors. I was a single mother living alone and I felt safe with Marhsall always keeping an eye on my house. He used to walk up and down the street checking on everything in the neighborhood. My brother nicknamed him the 'Governor', since he knew everything and everybody in the neighborhood. And the stories ...loved all the stories and him and Dorothy always made me laugh. They were great neighbors.

I met Marshall once. Such a nice man. He hand delivered a letter of mine that he received by mistake, but understandable, for I am the third and last owner of Trader Horn. May you find peace by his memory. Accept my deepest sympathy and condolences.

Like most who knew Marshall I could tell a thousand wonderful stories of him and Dorothy. My favorite... i was Marshall's neighbor and we sold our house. It was empty for a while before it sold and I went there one evening to repair some things in my basement. After dark i went upstairs and did a quick 10 minute project, turned off the lights and went down stairs to retrieve my tools and go home. I heard a knock on my side door and Marshall hollered down at me and wanted to know if i was ok. I yelled back that all was good "ill be up in a minute". when i reached the top of the stairs i see Marshall with his Cain in his right hand and a .38 revolver in his left. I asked Marshall why he had the pistol and he replied "I thought someone had broken into your house". I think he was 98 or 99 at that time, anyway we talked for a while and caught. Then we went about our business. God love that amazing man!! what able bodied person would check on their neighbor in that situation let alone someone in their late 90's. That was Marshall Horn. He and Dorothy were the perfect example of the "greatest generation" he stood out as a great man of his generation. for those of us that had the opportunity to know him we were blessed.

My hope is for the sadness in your hearts be replaced with the joy of knowing Marshall is at peace and admiration for a life well lived.
