Nicholas A. "Nick" Brletic, 23

Nicholas A. "Nick" Brletic, 23, of Lafayette (formerly of Monticello), passed away at 9:03 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2014, at the Indiana University, Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born on Sunday, August 11, 1991, in Rensselaer, to Mark A. and Stacy L. (Kemp) Brletic.

Nick passed away from injuries sustained as a victim of an August 30, 2014, automobile accident.

He was a 2010 graduate of Twin Lakes High School of Monticello.

Nick had been working at Jacobs Professional Services in Monon in Construction and Sales.

He was an avid weightlifter, musician, and pool player.

Nick was always involved in drama and theater while in school.

Surviving are his mom, Stacy (husband Ed) Jacobs of Monon; dad, Mark Brletic of Crown Point; sisters, Alicia Jacobs of Indianapolis, and Jaclyn Jacobs of Winamac; brothers, Adam Nesius of Lafayette, Justin Jacobs of Denver, Colorado, and Joshua Jacobs of Monticello; paternal grandparents, James and Barbara Brletic of Lorain, Ohio; step-grandparents, Jack and Nancy Jacobs of Monticello; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Nick was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, W. Dean and June Kemp; maternal great grandparents, Simon and Wilma Kemp, and Raymond and Pearl Prather; paternal great grandparents, Ralph and Avis Andrews, and Stephen and Katherine Brletic.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2014, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello. Celebration of Life Service will be at the funeral home at 9:00 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2014, with Father Robert Bernotas of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kentland, and Pastor Robert L. Geans of Edwardsburg Pentecostal Church of Edwardsburg, Michigan officiating.

Burial will be private for the family.

Memorials may be given to the Indiana University Neuro I.C.U. Critical Care United of Indianapolis. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
