Patsy Jean (Biggs) North, 79

Attica - Patsy Jean (Biggs) North, 79, Attica, passed away at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Bart and Cheri North, on Monday, September 22, 2014, 2:50 a.m. following her illness with cancer.

Patsy was born at home near Carbondale in Warren County, Indiana, on January 8, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Franklin and Masel (Shields) Biggs. Patsy was raised in Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1953. She has lived most of her life in Davis Township, east of Attica.

Patsy worked as a bookkeeper for Barker Motors in Attica and later for 18 years at L.C. Roemer & Son Furniture Store in Attica.

Patsy was a member of the Attica-Williamsport Evangelical Presbyterian Church; inactive member of Kappa Kappa Kappa Sorority and served as its treasurer; former member of the Women of the Moose and Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles Lodge of Attica. She enjoyed reading.

Patsy married Russell Dean North on March 25, 1955 in Attica. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1981.

Patsy leaves behind her two sons, Bart (Cheri) North and Colin North, both of Attica; two grandsons, Benjamin (Carrie) North, Lafayette and Matt (Catrina) North, Fishers, IN. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amber North; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Nellie and Dean North; a half sister, Mara Lou Mussche.

Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, September 26th, from 6:00 until service time at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. David Rasner officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Salem Cemetery, east of Attica.
