Growing up, my family camped with Phyllis' family. After my parents passed, I met Phyllis for concerts on summer evenings. I visited her at her nursing home and enjoyed her company. Phyllis loved to talk, especially about her family. Because of COVID19, I have been unable to visit since March. I will miss her very much. Praying for her family.

I was 6 when Chet (23) married Phyllis who was 19. She was like a sister to me and Betty. She was always pleasant, friendly, kind and loving. We all loved her!
Chet (BSME'51) was a Purdue student and lived off campus. He frequently visited the drugstore where Phyllis worked, she said, as a "soda jerk." They married in Nov 1951 and he was an engineer at Ross Gear in Lafayette, although they rented a house on Steely St. in W. Laf. In 1956 they relocated to Cincinnati, as he accepted an engineering position at GE's Jet Turbine Division in Evandale, OH.
Phyllis's Dad (George) was a policeman for Purdue and later moved to the maintenance dept and transported workers to various job sites.
Phyllis was a great cook like her mother (Esther). Judy and Gary were born in Lafayette with Steve and Jim in Cincinnati.
Phyllis was a great wife, mother, sister, and sister-in-law.
She will be missed by all!
May God Bless her and let her now rest in peace.
