Ray Wetli Obituary
Ray Wetli, 75, of Fowler, Indiana, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at University Place, West Lafayette, Indiana. Born March 26, 1941 to Raymond and Lillian Wetli, graduated from Freeland Park High School and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dunnington, Indiana. He married Geneva Hess on August 21, 1965 at Sacred Heart Church, Fowler. Surviving are 2 daughters, Jill (Dave) Stowe of Mundelein, Illinois and Lori (Tim) Powers of Lafayette.
Also are 9 grandchildren, Jonathan, Aaron, Olivia, Anna, Mary, Lindsey, Tyler,
Lilly and Trevor whom he enjoyed spending time with. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Bill, Don and Jim of Fowler, 3 sisters, Rosemary Jorgenson, Ruth Blue and Madonna Wetli of Lafayette. His greatest joy was continuing the family farm operation on his grandparents farm with his 3 brothers. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing cards with his family.
Rosary will be at 4:45 pm. on Wednesday, June 15 with visitation following until 8 pm. at Windler Funeral Home, Fowler. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am., Thursday, June 16 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dunnington with Father Peter Vanderkolk and Father Donald Gross officiating. Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fowler. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to your choice.

I will always remember Ray with many memories of 4H and growing up with Lori as my cousin, friend, and classmate. He was certainly one of the good ones! Ray can now play euchre with my Dad and brother along with the other Wetli men who have gone before him.

I had the privilege to work for Jill at Conveniently Sold. When Ray would come help us he would put on some of the vintage clothing and make us laugh. He was a gentleman like no other. I am privileged to have known him. God Bless Ray and his wonderful family. He will be missed.
