Rebecca L. (Shallenberger) Warren, 57, of Lafayette, passed away in Lafayette on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Rebecca was born September 14, 1956 in Gary, IN, the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Taylor) Shallenberger. She was a graduate of Oregon-Davis High School near Walkerton, IN and went on to attend Indiana Business College. Rebecca married Ronald A. Warren in Wolcott, IN on March 5, 1978 and he survives. For ten years, she worked as a teaching assistant with special needs children at Murdock Elementary School in Lafayette and then worked as a bookkeeper for two years at All-Seasons Roofing in Lafayette. Rebecca was raised in the Pentecostal Church and in recent years had been active with the local Fibromyalgia support group. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving with her husband, Ronald, is their daughter, Kristin Whittington (husband, Frayne) of Lafayette and three grandchildren, Jacob Warren, Amaya Warren, and Landon Whittington. Rebecca is also survived by four sisters, Margaret Baughman of Layton, UT, Deborah Suhr (husband, Paul) of Monticello, Mary Hathaway (husband, Russ) of Kentland, and Nancy Cedarquist of Pullman, WA, and two brothers, Robert Shallenberger of Wolcott and Frank Zussman (wife, Sabrina) of Remington. Rebecca was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Cruz.
