Richard Wilkerson Obituary
Rossville - Richard "Dick" Wilkerson, 61, a life-long resident of Rossville, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.
Dick was born December 10, 1956 in Lafayette to the late Hillard James Wilkerson and Thelma Lucille (Hardesty) Wilkerson.
He graduated from Rossville High School in 1975. Dick worked as a roofer for Hinshaw Roofing for 27 years before retiring in 2013.
Dick married Karen Lockwood Wilkerson on January 14, 1978. She preceded him in death on January 9, 2002.
He was a member of roofer union local 119. Dick enjoyed watching football games and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved his livestock including his goats, chickens and pigs and his dog Bug.
He is survived by his children, Melissa (Phillip) Graff of Frankfort, Nicole Wilkerson of Rossville, Kimberly (Dan) Barnes of West Lafayette, Randy Wilkerson of Lafayette, and Joey (Gretchen) Wilkerson of West Port; two brothers, Sam Wilkerson of Rossville and Donald Wilkerson of TN. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Daniel Barnes, Jake Barnes, Dylan Barnes, Andy Graff, Alexander Wilkerson, Keirsten Wilkerson and Alexia Wilkerson.
Along with his wife Karen, he is preceded in death by his parents, brother James Wilkerson and sister Susie Panich.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Hippensteel Funeral Home from 5-8pm. Funeral service will be 10am Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Funeral Home.
