Sage Mikels Obituary
Sage Illene Belle Mikels, 6, of Battle Ground, passed away at 9:16 am, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at IU Health Arnett.
She was born on August 21, 2009 in Lafayette to Brian and Melody Rose (Price) Mikels.
Sage possessed a love of life although she had many physical problems. She was very strong and such a fighter. She always made everyone smile. Sage was in kindergarten at Hershey Elementary. She was a Riley child and the 2015 poster child for the Voiture 40&8 Chateau.
Surviving with her parents, Brian and Melody Mikels, are her two sisters, Cheyenne and Mina Mikels; maternal grandmothers, Wanda Louise Price and Kay Polson; paternal grandparents, William "Bill" and Constance "Connie" Mikels; paternal great-grandmother, Donna Mikels; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sage's family would like to thank the 4th Floor Pediatric Unit at IU Health Arnett and the Battle Ground Fire Department.
Visitation will be held from 9 am until the time of funeral service at 11 am, Friday, April 22, 2016 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Celebrant Amanda Atkins officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Sage's honor to Riley Hospital for Children, 40&8 Voiture Nursing Scholarship Program, or to the Battle Ground Fire Department.
