Steven Bush Obituary
Dayton - Steven A. "Steve" Bush, 67, of Dayton passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital.
Steve was born July 27, 1951 in Lafayette to the late Andrew C. Bush and Violet M. (Smith) Bush. He graduated from Battle Ground High School in 1969 and later attended Laramie Community College. He married Diana (Nugent) Bush in November 1969 and she survives.
Steve served in the United State Air Force from 1970-1974. He worked in maintenance for the United State Postal Service for 30 years before retiring in 2009. He was a member of Faith Church. Steve enjoyed old cars and is vice president for the Lafayette Kroozers.
Along with his wife, Diana, he is survived by his children, Cody (wife: Aimee) Bush of the Cayman Islands and Danae (husband: Rob) Rush of Lafayette; sister-in-law Becky Bush of Lafayette. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Titus and Gabrielle Rush and Dylan and Eli Bush.
He is preceded in death by his son John Allen Bush, parents Andrew and Violet Bush and brother Donald Bush.
Visitation will be held from 5pm-8pm Monday, October 1, 2018 at Faith Church, 5526 State Road 26 East, Lafayette IN. Funeral service will be 10AM Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the church with Reverend Trey Garner and nephew, Reverend Westley Raley officiating. Military Honors will follow by American Legion Post 11. Diane, Don't know what to say. This was a surprise to us. We just saw you two a few weeks ago. How things can change so fast. We go back a long way and have always considered you both good friends. The car shows were so much fun. You are in our thoughts as you move into a new life without Steve. God Bless you.

Steve and I were good friends starting in First Grade at Battle Ground Elementary and had to go through a summer of getting help with our studies with Mrs. Lamb our first grade teacher. I regret not keeping up with him through the years. I am sure he will be missed by family and friends all.
