Tony Pendleton Obituary
Lafayette - Tony W. Pendleton, 70, of Lafayette died Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Franciscan Health East in Lafayette. He was born September 26, 1948 in Lafayette to the late Walter and Goldie McCracken Pendleton.
Tony graduated from Southwestern High School in 1967 and on July 11, 1970 he married Deborah Sue Cox in Lafayette and she survives.
Tony worked at Eli Lilly for 29 years and retired in 1999. He also farmed with his father in Lafayette. He enjoyed gardening and cutting wood.
Surviving with his wife are his children Jennifer Maxson (Kenneth) of Lafayette, Andrew Pendleton (Tammi Clark) of West Lafayette, Brian Pendleton (Misty Corwin) of Green Hill, grandchildren Katlyn Pendleton, Ashlyn Maxson, Marcus and Ashton Pendleton. Also surviving is his sisters Patty Hicks (Ray) of Lafayette and Betty Pfeiffer of Linden. Tony was preceded in death by his sister Jean Gellenbeck and a brother Chet Pendleton.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Graveside service will be at 11:30 am on Saturday at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.

We're so sorry for your loss, Aunt Deb. I have fond memories of Uncle Tony, riding in the tractor with him at the Romney farm, hanging out with you guys at home, having him teach me different things about the farm, chicken-pluckin', butchering our own cows & hogs and of course, corn-pickin. I always thought hanging out with you guys was the coolest and loved being at your place for cookouts. He was certainly a 'cool' unc! (Cherish every moment I got to spend with you guys.) My heart is breaking right now. Please know you guys are thought of often over here in Peoria and loved beyond words. He'll always have a place in my heart. Our prayers are with you and the family.
