Walter Dalsimer Obituary

Walter David Dalsimer II

Walter David Dalsimer II, 89, died on September 9, at 2:15 am at Westminster Village, his family by his side. He went out the way he lived his life, on his own terms. He was born on February 15, 1928. The year was the same as the price of 2 gallons of wine at the Narberth, PA Liquor store. He married Emma Jo Snaidman on June 10, 1950.

A graduate of Ursinus College and Jefferson Medical School, he served in the U.S. Army. Before relocating to Westpoint, IN, Walt practiced psychiatry in the Philadelphia, PA area.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Jim (Mary) of Baltimore, MD, Larry (Elizabeth) of Exton, PA, Tom (Diana) of Pittsboro, NC, and daughter Kathy Dale (John) of West Point, IN. He is also survived by a brother John (Diane) of Pompano Beach, FL.

Walt has died, his family and friends have cried. He leaves behind, Emma, a good wife. Walt truly had a wonderful life. His four kids, 11 grandkids, and 10 great grandkids remain. We're sure the Dalsimer name will sustain. Not a lover of flowers or cards, he said to please donate to:  ACLU, Planned Parenthood, or the Historical Society, in their stead. Walt will be greatly and forever missed.

To Ms. Emma and the loving Family of Walt,
Know that Walt will truly be missed. He was a wonderful and caring person/friend to know. He was a Trooper and will always be remembered. The long lasting memories that will live on with him may forever be cherished. The NAACP Lafayette West Lafayette Branch #3056 will continue to carry the torch. Walt had the shining lights to assist and help those he came in contact with. He was a hero. His fight for doing the right thing will always be remembered. The ACLU and our community has lost such a GIANT. Ms. Emma and family please continue to keep hope alive in the memories of WALT!!!! He will forever be loved and greatly MISSED!!!!!!!!
