William Joe Correll

Hutsonville,IL - William Joe Correll, 74, of Hutsonville, Illinois passed away on Thursday,

February 25, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital Vincennes. Bill was born

September 22, 1946 in Fowler, IN to the late Wray and Cloie Denney

Correll.

Bill graduated from Oxford High School and was a veteran of the Army having served in the Vietnam War with the 101st Airborne. He was awarded the Presidential Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Parachutist Badge. Bill was honorably discharged in November 1968.

Bill enjoyed working on cars, hiking and biking, drinking coffee, and spending time with his family. Surviving him are brothers Don Correll and Jack Correll and sisters ,Charlene Bell, Mary Robison, Maggie Jackson, and Linda Beckley. Bill is also survived by 5 nephews, 7 great nephews, 7 nieces, and 6 great nieces. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Wray and Cloie Correll, sister Betty, brothers, Michael and David, and nephew Ron.

The visitation, funeral, and interment are private and for family only (due to Covid-19). Visitation was 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm on Tuesday March 2, 2021 at Soller-Baker, West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West. The service starts at 1:00 pm. Interment is at Oxford West Cemetery, Oxford,

I would like to thank everyone for signing Bill's page I know some of the best day's of his life were spent in Benton county I know the people in Oxford loved him and understood him after he got back from viet nam some of the things he said he did there brought our family and friends to tears thank you again jack correll

so sorry to hear about Bill. we all had great fun growing up at G/G Chastain farm and proud he was my OHS classmate. glad I got to see him even only briefly at 2017 Alumni. peace to him and I hope all the family stay safe. greg scott
