William H. Dimmick

Boswell - William (Bill) H. Dimmick, 61, of Boswell, Indiana passed away at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 peacefully from his courageous battle with cancer.

Bill was born in Lafayette, Indiana on April 25, 1959. He was raised on the farm in Boswell, Indiana. He was married to the late Kim Arnold. Bill worked 19+ years at Purdue University as a maintenance mechanic. He enjoyed all things mechanical from a young age, where he picked up hobbies of painting and rebuilding cars. He was also a member of the Lafayette Corvette Club where he could showcase his passion and abilities for vehicle mechanics. Bill also enjoyed spending time working on house projects with his fiancé, Jackie, the love of his life.

Bill is survived by his fiancé, Jackie (Steinmetz) of Fowler, Indiana. His sister, Kathy Dimmick of West Lafayette, Indiana is also survived. Proceeding him in death is his mother, Marie Dimmick (November 2020), and father, Bud Dimmick.

Visitation services will be held at Hippensteel Funeral Home in Lafayette, Indiana from 1PM to 3 PM E.S.T. on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Current Covid-19 precautions will be observed along with social distancing. Masks are required.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Ivy Foundation Automotive Program.
