John Wayne Schulz

Funeral for John Wayne Schulz, 63, of Timpson will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Timpson, with the Rev. Cliff Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery. Mr. Schulz died Feb. 20, 2009, at his residence in the Silas Community. Born Oct. 30, 1945, in New Braunfels, he was the son of Raymond Henry and Esther Seekatz Schulz. He was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone, and he was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Timpson. Survivors include his wife, Sue Schulz of Timpson; son, Travis Schulz of Center; daughters, Terri Alford of Timpson, Janice Hughes of Carthage and Rebecca Oliver of Timpson; sister, Diana Davenport of Granville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson.
