Judy Padgett

Judy Pierce Padgett, 73, of Maple Hill, died Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center in Wilmington.
Judy was born to the late Urban and Bernice Pierce of Maple Hill on August 31, 1943. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Phil Pierce; and a special niece, Stephanie "Twinkles" Parker.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Padgett of Maple Hill; one son, Greg Padgett (Candy); three grandchildren, Jaxon, Zackry, and Priscilla, all of Wilmington; a sister, Ludie Hix (Steve) of Verona; a brother, Reggie Pierce of Maple Hill; a special uncle, Miles "June" Pierce; and many special loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Judy was a member of Moore's Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6 at Spring Primitive Baptist Church with Elders Stacy Pierce, Aubrey Pierce, and Michael Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Pierce Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 10 until 11:15 a.m.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 or to Spring Primitive Baptist Church or to Moore's Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
