Sneads Ferry - Robert E. Trexel, 90, of Sneads Ferry, died Saturday, June 26, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday at New River Community Church with Pastor Steve Allen officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

Bob was a veteran of the USMC, a retired US Postal worker and owned and operated his own electrical service company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Martha Trexel; one daughter, Theresa Joy Trexel; and one great-grandson, Bradley Everett Coston.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Millis Trexel of the home; four children, Wanda Yopp (Charles) of Sneads Ferry, Michael Trexel (Allene) of Wilmington, Beverly Yopp (Milton) of Sneads Ferry and Robin Trexel (Jackie) of Holly Ridge; one brother, John Everett Trexel (Dot) of San Diego, CA; twelve grandchildren, Stephanie Rawls (Danny), Jonathan Yopp (Carrie), Savannah Trexel, Renee Trexel, Michelle Yopp, Devin Yopp (Megan), Derrick Yopp (Katie), Meghan Cambridge (Keron), Caitlin Melvin (Wesley), Curtis Trexel, T.J. Stanley and Chris Stanley; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Bryan, Shelby, Nicole, Ashley, Everett, Nathan, Alana, Owen, Leah, Scarlette, Angel, Amelia, J.J. and Christopher.

The family will receive friends Friday, prior to the service, from 12:30 until 1:30 PM, at the church.
