Ellen Moose Obituary

Ellen Bernice (Gannoe) Moose, 88, of Sigel, passed away during the late hours of Sunday, May 25, 2025, while at her home with her husband by her side.

She was born on February 4, 1937, to the late Floyd Lester and Anna Catherine (Mobberly) Gannoe in Coraopolis.

Ellen graduated from high school and was a clerical for the city government.

She married Homer Carlton Moose on May 3, 1958, in Coraopolis. They had 67 wonderful years together. Homer survives her.

In addition to her husband, Ellen is survived by one daughter, Peggy (Bernie Bittinger) Murray; three grandchildren, Natalie Murray, Jessica Murray and Melissa (Earl) Finzel; three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Remington and Scout; one sister, Mary Mirage; and one brother, Floyd L. Gannoe Jr.

Following her wishes, there will be no services held.

All arrangements have been entrusted to the McKinney – d'Argy Funeral Home, located at 345 Main Street in Brookville.
