Mark Emerick Obituary

Mark Lloyd Emerick, age 59, of Butler Street in Brookville, PA, passed away of natural causes in the comfort of his home on February 27, 2017.
He was born on July 1, 1957, in Brookville, PA, to the late Lloyd C. and Margaret K. (Swartz).
Mark attended and graduated from the Brookville High School, he then continued his education at Clarion College and obtained his bachelor's degree.
He started his working career with Shaffer's Buick when it was located on the Allegheny Blvd. He then moved through a few different jobs including working for S&T Bank on Main St., Farmers National Bank on Main St., Wasko's Ford and Chrysler, and currently he was working for First Commonwealth Bank on Main St., as a loan officer. With First Commonwealth he also spent time in Indiana, PA, and DuBois, PA.
Mark enjoyed many things and he overtly enjoyed vintage cars and going out to eat. Before his mothers passing he was very close to her. They would spend a lot of time together and one of their favorite places to go was the Pizza Pub in Clarion. Pizza was his favorite food. He liked traveling and when he was younger, his family would take trips together going to the beaches in Delaware.
More recently Mark enjoyed his home life and he would spend much of his time making sure that his house and vehicles were neat and tidy. He liked watching television and mostly enjoyed the older shows like Andy Griffith, I love Lucy, and Laverne and Shirley. He was a collector of many things and he was very fond of little cars and match box's. Mark was an excellent singer and he enjoyed being a part of large family functions, as an example, he liked to dance at weddings.
His family was very important to him and he leaves behind many cousins, an uncle, an aunt and many other extended family.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 11 am - 1 pm, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825. A funeral service will immediately follow the viewing, beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at the Emerickville Church of God Cemetery, Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County, PA. I worked with Mark at Peoples Savings and Farmers National Bank. We had a good work relationship. We always had a good time when we worked together. He was a great person. I am still in shock that he passed away. We would always talk when we met on main street.

I enjoyed working with Mark at FCB in the Mortgage Department- our original group of loan officers was a family and Mark was an integral part of that family. Rest In Peace Merlo!
