Myrna Summers Obituary

Myrna Arlene Summers, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA.
She was born on November 6, 1942 in Rossiter, PA the daughter of Hazel Audrey Roush who preceded her in death.
Myrna married John Henry Summers, who survives, on November 6, 1964 and they just recently celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Myrna was a homemaker, but also worked and helped at various seasonal jobs over the years.
She enjoyed being a 4H and Brownie leader, and loved crocheting and other crafts, making ornaments for the family Christmas tree, and also for the Christmas tree at the Jefferson Manor. She also took a lot of pride and found happiness in making lap robes and blankets for the veterans, cancer patients, and the residents at the Jefferson Manor.
She is survived by 5 children - Herbert Allen Summers of Bethany, NY; Beth Scroger (Kevin) of
Byron, NY; Betsy Riexinger (Darren) of Basom, NY; Judy Zeeb of Inverness, FLA; and John A. Summers (Christy) of Corfu, NY; 11 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren, and numerous cousins.
Myrna was the last surviving member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her Mother.
Private family services will be held at a later date and internment will be in the Covode Cemetery, Indiana Co,, PA
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County EMS - 501 Pine St. Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
Arrangements under the direction of the Peterson Funeral Home, Brookville.
