Bobby Ham

Mr. Bobby Kenneth Ham of Lansing passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at his home. He was 80.

Mr. Ham was born in Ashe County on Monday, Feb. 11, 1935 to the late Leo Ham and Marie Perry Ham. Bobby was a member of Gillespie Community Church. He retired from General Motors. He was an avid sportsman of fishing and hunting. He was cattle farmer for most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Johnson Ham.

Mr. Ham is survived by three sons: Gary Ham and wife, Judy of Nottingham, Pa., Greg Ham and wife, Sharon of West Grove, Pa. and Gerry Ham and wife, Angie of Lansing; three daughters: Gloria Ham of Lansing, Gale Buchanan of Lansing and Ginger McGuire and husband, Phil of The Villages, Fla.; one sister, Shelby Ham Weaver of Lansing; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Francis, Minister Danny Miller and the Rev. Dan Hess officiating. Burial will follow in the Perry Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015, one hour prior to the funeral service.
