Beverly Marla Barker

Beverly Marla Barker, age 54 of Jefferson passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 11am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Louis Young, Rev. Joey McClure, and Elder James McNeill officiating. Burial will follow in the Scott Blevins Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 23, 2026 from 6-8pm at Boone Family Funeral Home.

Beverly was born in Ashe County on June 13, 1971 to Wert and Kathleen Brown Barker. She was a faithful member of Riverview Primitive Baptist Church. Beverly found joy in tending to her flowers and cherished the time she spent with her family, who meant the world to her.

She is survived by her mother, Kathleen Brown Barker; her sister, Barbara Barker of Boone; two brothers, Joel Barker of Jefferson and Willard Barker of Todd; her aunts, Zola Barker of Jefferson, Glenna Brown of Sparta, and Dorothy Brown of Sparta; her uncle, Clifford Brown of Denver, and several nieces also survive.
