Joyce was born on May 20, 1933, in Penns Park, Bucks County, Pennsylvania to the late Chester A. and Stella Roberts Wright.
She is preceded in death by her husband L. Bryan Spencer, granddaughter Erin K. Spencer, sister Edith W. White, infant sister Marian Ida Wright, and her brothers Chester A. Wright, Raymond J. Wright, and Clifford G. Wright.
Joyce is survived by four sons, Barry B. Spencer, Ph.D. (Joyce) of Knoxville, TN., Rikki L. Spencer (Becky) of Salisbury, NC, Kenny R. Spencer (Teresa) of Fleetwood, and Danny K. Spencer (Stephanie) of West Jefferson, her brother, Marvin A. Wright (Polly) of Telford, PA, grandchildren, Larry Spencer (Jami) of Knoxville, TN., Carrie Carter (Stanton) of Salisbury, Adam Spencer (Colin) of Salisbury, Ethan Spencer of Raleigh, Makayla Warren (Robert DDS) of North Wilkesboro, Alexander Spencer MD (Jordan DDS) of Chapel Hill, Alayne Richie (Bradley) of West Jefferson, and Macy Spencer of West Jefferson, her great grandchildren, Estella Spencer, Jacob Spencer, Lila Spencer, Cosby Spencer, Arlo Spencer, Webb Spencer, Judson Richie, Jase Richie, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
