Doris Pritts Obituary

BETHANY -- Doris Eileen Pritts, 86, of Bethany passed away 10:45 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2006 in her home, Bethany. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Bethany. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Bethany. Burial will be in Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany. Memorials may be made to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Bethany. Doris was born December 21, 1919 in Bethany, the daughter of Elmer Lincoln and Rolpha Edna (Rhodes) Wilkinson. She married Norman Buel Pritts December 5, 1937 in Bethany; he preceded her in death July 16, 1945. Doris married Ivan Bruns in 1964 and he preceded her in death in 1974. Doris was retired from Bethany School District as a cook and bus driver. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Bethany Women's Club and Moultrie County Home Extension. Doris is survived by her son, Ronald E. Pritts and wife Judy of Bethany; daughter, Iryis Faye Walker and husband George of Morton; sister, Hillis Miller of Bethany; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two daughters, one brother, two sisters and one grandchild.
