Edward Banks Obituary

WINDSOR - Edward C. Banks, 83, of Windsor passed away at 3:40 a.m. Thursday (May 12, 2011) at the Shelbyville Manor. Private graveside services will be held Sunday at the Windsor Cemetery with Rev. Richard Eident officiating. Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to VFW Post 4829, Shelbyville. He was born August 12, 1927 in Windsor the son of Ralph and Lena Maude (Spurlin) Banks. He married Rosella Camic August 3, 1951 in Windsor and she preceded him in death December 12, 1995. He served in the US Navy during the WW II and Korean wars. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Shelbyville, and a retired cement finisher working out the local union. Surviving are his daughter, Debbie Tipsword (Roger) of Windsor, grandchildren, Erin Wideman (Schuyler) of Herrick and Tyler Phelps of Charleston; great-grandson, Zachary Wideman of Herrick; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister, Norma Jean Johnson. Condolences at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com.
