Goldie L. Beals

CHILLICOTHE -- Mrs. Goldie L. Beals, 84, of Chillicothe, Illinois formerly of Neoga, Illinois, passed away 7:30 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2009, in the Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. Goldie was born March 4, 1925, in Cumberland County, Illinois, the daughter of John and Reva (Williams) Warner. Goldie married Clifford C. Beals April 27, 1946, in Toledo, Illinois, and Mr. Beals passed away December 26, 1990. Goldie was a retired Cafeteria employee with the Neoga School District and she was employed by the Lakeland College of Mattoon, Illinois, in the cafeteria department for seventeen years. She enjoyed visiting with her friends and working in her flower garden. Mrs. Beals leaves one daughter, Sharon Mudd and husband Russell of Chillicothe, Illinois; two grandsons, Russell Mudd, Jr., and Robert Mudd of Chillicothe, Illinois; two granddaughters, Christine Mudd and Brianna Mudd, both of Chillicothe, Illinois. Mrs. Beals was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford Beals; one daughter, Joyce Meagher; two brothers, Wallace Warner and John William Warner; one sister, Elsie Rodgers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2009, in the Swengel - O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, with Leslie White of Chicago, Illinois, officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2009, at he funeral home. Burial will be in the Janesville Cemetery of Janesville, Illinois.
