Iliff Malcom Obituary

MARTINSVILLE - Iliff Irene Felkamp Malcom, 96, of Martinsville, Illinois, passed away at 9:40 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Burnsides Community Health Center in Marshall, Illinois. She was born on October 7, 1913 in Holder Township, McLean County, Illinois, the daughter of Theodore Richard and Josephine Irene Robinson Felkamp. On February 18, 1934 in Terre Haute, IN, she married Robert Andrew Malcom. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1968. Survivors include her son, Richard W. Malcom of Decatur, IL; daughters, Avis Sutton and husband Russell of Marshall, IL, Sharon Smith and husband Harold of Martinsville, IL, and Shirley Slusser and husband John of Tuscon, AZ; grandchildren, Candice Sutton, Dale and Judy Sutton, Christy and Ed Trover, Jerry and Margaret Sutton, Cheryl Sutton, Katie Sutton, Jim and Lisa Sutton, John Pierce Slusser, Jr., Susan and Brett Bedore, Paula and Rick Shockley, Dan and Kim Spencer, Michael and Brenda Malcom, Todd and JoEllen Malcom, Derek and Janice Malcom, Laura and Don Richey and Theresa and Kelley Garrett; Great grandchildren, Kelly Sutton, Michael Pine, David and Brandy Pine, Jacob and Sarah Sutton, Emily and Bill Yates, Cody and Sara Sutton, Natasha Sutton, Cameron Sutton, Heather Morris, Savanah Sutton, Josie Sutton, Dillon Sutton, Brandi Santus, Misty Sutton, Jeremey and Nicki Sutton, Robbie Dooley, Brittany Burks, Jessie James Sutton, Jordan Sweitzer, Jamie and Chad Shramek, Jessica Slusser, Jennifer Sexton, Jacquie Slusser, Sarah Nicole Knott, Lee Ann and Nick Spencer, Jessie Garrison, James A. Garrison, Rachel Barton, Sarah Barton, Maranda Shockley, Paul Spencer, Salvatore D. Spencer, Neal Malcom, Dylan Malcom, Adam Richey, Melanie Richey, Abbie Malcom, Haley Garrett, Keyton Pine, Adam Eichensehr, Jason Sutton, Jr., Aubrey Morris, Ashlyn Morris, Hannah Sutton, Bryce Sutton, Gavin Sutton, Layla Yates, Caden Yates, Ali Sutton, Zoe Parks, Summer Reed, Jon Reed, Kerstin Griffin, Brock Santus, Brady Santus, Cody Shramek, Courtney Shramek, DJ Slusser, Dyllan Scarborough, Katelynn Scarborough, Hannah Sexton, Christopher Sexton, Alexis Slusser, Jacob Spencer, Vincente' Demma, Airiana Demma, Fiona Barton, Xavier Dooley; 22 step great grandchildren and 3 step great great grandchildren; sister in law, Frances Sloan Felkamp and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Patricia May Malcom, three brothers, Harry, Gene and Neal Felkamp, sister, Annabelle Staley and two infant sisters, daughter in law, Alice Malcom, four grandsons, Bob Sutton, Andy Slusser, Tony Sutton, Kevin Spencer, 2 great grandchildren, Jason Earle Sutton and John Christopher Slusser. Iliff worked at the Blue Ribbon Inn, the Ettelbrick Shoe Company, Newman's Apple House, MCHS cafeteria and was employed by TRW in Marshall for 30 years before retiring. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville, IL with Rev. Bill Duke officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 3816 Paysphere Circle Chicago, IL 60674 or American Cancer Society 2509 S. Neil St. Suite 1 Champaign, IL 61820.
