It is with the regret that I have read of the passing of Jacques Andre. I knew Andre many years ago when he was employed at the R.R.Donnelley plant in Mattoon, after his high school graduation, and when he drove the white Ford Econoline van. I was assigned to train Andre on the Family Circle magazine production line and have always remembered him as being a remarkably friendly fellow who demonstrated a serious and responsible attitude toward Family Circle's work. As with everyone, I enjoyed knowing Andre and hoped, after he later left Donnelley's, that our paths would sometime cross again, but, they never did. I will always think of him as a truly ideal young fellow. I know his family and friends are heartbroken and I appreciate this opportunity to express sympathy and remembrance. Dave Freeman

Dear Ann and family: We are so sorry and were shocked to hear of Andre's passing and wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you. We have nothing but good memories of our friendship and times spent with you and Andre in high school and after. It's a shame we all grow apart and yet are so close. We really wanted to be able to come to the visitation and funeral today but our work schedules just did not allow it but please do not think that we forgot you and Andre and hope that you can cherish the memories that you have. God bless you in this time of sorrow and I hope you find strength in your faith.
Love, Bob and Sheryl Ballinger

I am so sorry to hear of Andre's passing. Andre was a good friend of my brothers through high school and that is when we dated. He was always a loving a caring person and never had bad things to say about anyone. I will always remember everytime he came to the house he woulld just walk in and go to the frig to see what there was to eat. And then find his place on the couch. I still have all the pics that we took and pics of the old white van we drove around in. The world has lost a great person and he will be sadly missed by all.
