Jeffery Brady Obituary

CHARLESTON -- Jeffery Lynn Brady, Sr., age 48 of Charleston and a former resident of Riverside, California, passed away on Saturday, January 31 (2004) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Services celebrating his life will be held at Noon, Tuesday (February 3) with Reverend Kenneth Pate officiating. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the Services. Services and Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive in Charleston. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery, also in Charleston. Jeff was born October 10, 1955 in Charleston, Illinois the son of Donald Lee, Sr. and Joanne (Mills) Brady. He married Kathleen Ann Evans on July 11, 1977 in Charleston. He is survived by his wife Kathleen; two sons, Jeffery Lynn Brady, Jr. and his girlfriend Kelly Sparrow and Joshua Wayne Brady and his fiancé Marilyn Yakos; two daughters, Reva L. Evans and Christy Marie Brady, all of Charleston; seven grandchildren, Brittany Arthur, Rowdy Brown, Kaylie Brown, Austin Jenkins, Payton Jenkins and Maria Jenkins, all of Charleston and Keegan Brady of Mattoon, Illinois; his mother, Joanne Brady of Charleston; two brothers, Richard Eugene Brady, Sr. and his wife Trish and Donald Lee Brady, Jr. and his wife Maria of Ashmore, Illinois; two sisters, Melody A. Abernathy and her husband Ab of Ashmore and Connie J. Hayes and her husband Gerald of Bushton, Illinois; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded by his grandparents; his father; and a nephew, Jeremiah Eubank. Jeff was employed in the Maintenance Department at the Charleston facility of Vesuvius USA. He served in the National Guard, both in California and Illinois, and was a devoted member of the United Pentecostal Tabernacle in Charleston. Jeff had no time for hobbies - his time was devoted to his family, his church and his church family. A kind-hearted man, yet "tough but tender", Jeff was never judgmental and was always ready and willing to help others. His love and concern for his family and friends was a result of his deep faith and commitment to his Lord and Savior. Jeff's family requests that Memorials in his honor be made to the United Pentecostal Tabernacle. Gifts may be left on the Memorial Table at the Visitation or Services or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920. I met Jeff at the BP gas station were I work,his daughter Reva and

I are friends,my prayers went out as soon as I was told about this
