Michael Conder Obituary

WATSON - Michael A. Conder, 53, of Watson, Illinois died Monday, August 23, 2010 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo after a battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham. Visitation will also be Friday, August 27, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Hall Funeral Chapel. There will be an Elks service immediately following the funeral service. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Effingham. Memorials may be made to the Effingham Elks, the American Cancer Society or Donors Choice. Michael was born May 5, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky the son of Tony and Mary Garr Conder. He worked for Lewis Bakeries for 31 years as a District Manager. He was a member of the Effingham Elks Lodge 1016. Family members say that Michael was an extraordinary storyteller whose laughter could fill the hearts of all who were near. He is survived by his children: Eric and his wife Charlie Conder of Atlanta, GA, Mark Conder of Effingham and daughter: Paige and her husband Matt McWhorter of Effingham. Brothers: Jim and his wife Cheryl Conder of Mason, Ohio, Steve Conder, Drew Conder and Joe and his wife Sherri Conder all of Effingham. Sister: Angie and her husband Allyn Koester of Effingham. Grandchildren: Hadley Conder and Madison McWhorter and special friend, Colleen Parker of Watson. Online condolences may be left at www.hallfuneral chapel.com.
