Myra was born July 31, 1920, daughter of Tilford (Til) and Ella Cutler Shoot, who preceded her in death. Myra graduated from Charleston High School. She was employed at Charleston Gravel Pit for many years and then retired from Ashmore Grain Company after working there for many years. Her family was paramount to her, whom she loved unconditionally. She found her last home at Hilltop, where the staff and many residents loved Myra as if she was their family. Myra enjoyed life and challenges, so much so that in the mid-70's built a house. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed nature, working crosswords, gardening, chatting with family and friends, and had an open mind for learning. She will be greatly missed by family and friends who are blessed for knowing her and being a part of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hilltop Convalescent Center Resident Activity Fund or Lincolnland Hospice. Her graveside funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2009 at Ashmore Cemetery, with Tony Crouch officiating. Arrangements: Caudill-King.
