Pauline R. Lippincott

CASEY - Pauline R. Lippincott or Polly as she was known to family and many friends, 91, of Casey, Illinois, passed away at 6:05 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at Heartland Manor Nursing Center in Casey, Illinois. Polly was born on June 2, 1919 in Jasper County, Illinois, to Harry and Maple Anna Swim Roan. She married George Lippincott on June 3, 1950 in Casey, Illinois. He passed away on May 15, 1986. Polly was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Casey; and was a member of the Casey VFW Ladies Auxiliary for over 50 years. She worked at Ettelbrick Shoe Co. in Casey for 28 years and for Shawver Clothing Store in Casey for another 28 years. Polly leaves to mourn her passing two sisters, Geraldine Roan Miller of Casey, IL and Elois Roan Holt and her husband Keith of Terre Haute, IN; special niece, Judy Miller of Casey, IL; nieces and nephews: Karen Roan Ford, Larry Roan, Robert Hunt, Pat Hunt Farris, Bill Hunt, Debby Miller Lindsay, Danny Miller, Steve Holt, and Julie Holt Williams, 19 great nieces and nephews, 23 great great nieces and nephews, and very special friends, Winnie and Denny Mumford of Casey, IL and sister-in-law Elizabeth (Babe) Lippincott and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her precious husband George, two brothers, Ernest Roan and Dale Roan; a sister, Blanche Roan Hunt and a nephew, Joe Holt. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, IL with Pastor Glen Rosborough officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the service time of 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
