October 29, 1945 - December 10, 2024
TOLEDO - Steven Dallas Warner, age 79 of Toledo, IL passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, IL.
A funeral service in his honor will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938. Reverend Ron Dickinson will officiate. A committal service will immediately follow at Bethel Cemetery in Mattoon, IL. The visitation will be held the same day from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Steven was born on October 29, 1945, in Mattoon, IL to the late Dallas L. and Beatrice (Christensen) Warner. He is survived by one son, John R. Warner of Toledo, IL; two daughters, Michelle A. Conner of Lerna, IL, Teresa K. Bergbower and husband James of Toledo, IL; one brother, Mark Warner and wife Irene of Oconto Falls, WI; three grandchildren: Cody A. Cox and wife Kristen of Lerna, IL, Clayton W. Conner and wife Kaitlyn of Columbia, MO, Josh C, Hurst and wife Mindy of Toledo, IL; and eight great-grandchildren.
Steven was a local farmer. In 2001, he retired from Trailmobile Trailer LLC in Charleston, IL where he was employed for several years as a machinist. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed all things in nature including, hunting, fishing and country living. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
As a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Steven will be deeply missed.
