Daniel A. Nowack, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on October 27, 1950, to Bill and Marion Nowack, Danny grew up in Liverpool, New York, as the middle child of three. He attended Liverpool High School, where he was a proud member of both the football and swim teams.

In 1968, shortly after graduation, Danny answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He was deployed to Vietnam and went on to dedicate 22 years to military service, retiring in 1991 with the rank of Sergeant Major (E-9), one of the highest enlisted ranks. His leadership, commitment, and unwavering loyalty left a lasting impression on all who served alongside him.

Following his military career, Danny began a second chapter in the private sector at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), where he worked in procurement. Through hard work and determination, he rose to become Vice President of Procurement, retiring in 2008. Upon retirement, he settled at his beloved lake house on Boone Lake in Piney Flats, Tennessee, where he found joy, peace, and community.

It was at Boone Lake that Danny met Arnold, his devoted dog and constant companion. Arnold was more than a pet, he was Danny's best friend, sharing in the simple joys of lakeside living and offering steadfast loyalty.

Danny was a man of many passions. He loved fishing, whether at his family's summer home in Pulaski, New York, or on annual trips to Red Lake, Canada, with his brother David. He also enjoyed the thrill of the casino, especially the game of blackjack, which brought him countless hours of fun.

Danny's legacy is one of dedication, love, and friendship. He is survived by his daughter, Tina; his son, Shane; his younger sister, Debbie; and a wide circle of friends whose lives he touched deeply throughout his journey.

No services will be held, per his wishes. He will be remembered as a proud Marine, a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a man who lived life with strength, humor, and heart.
