David Baker Obituary

David Doyle Baker, 67 of Alicia passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones at the Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center. Born June 9, 1957, in Walnut Ridge, to the late Don and Iona Felton Baker. He was born and raised on the family farm and worked as a farmer. David loved cars and tractors. He was very friendly to everyone he met and was loved by a lot of people. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Jerry Baker. Survivors include his significant other, Gail McGonigal of Alicia; two sisters, Marie Breedlove (David) of Swifton, and Martha Edwards (Danny) of Tuckerman; two daughters, Ginger Atkinson (Kendel), and Gina Anglin (Scott); four grandchildren, Justin, Hannah, Payton, and Remi; four great grandchildren, Ryker, Emery, Lilyann, and Tripp; his exceptional buddy (his dog) Toto; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be Friday, February 7, 2025, at 2 PM in the Bryan Chapel with John Dulaney and David Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be David Smith, Sam Allen, Luke Allen, Payton Ditto, Justin Anglin, Derek Sluder, and Tyler Burchfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Nicholson, Jim Jones, and Bradley Owens. Interment will be in the Strangers Home Cemetery in Alicia. Visitation will be Friday from 12 pm until the time of service.
