Loretta Guy Obituary

Loretta Jill Guy, 68, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, at The Blossoms in Newport. Born on May 16, 1956, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Mona Freeman. Loretta was of the Methodist faith and will be remembered for her warm and outgoing personality. She had a special gift for making friends wherever she went and touched countless lives with her kindness and vibrant spirit. A lifelong animal lover, Loretta had a deep affection for all creatures great and small. But above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Mona Freeman. Loretta is survived by her husband, Robert Guy; her daughter, Amber Warren of Jonesboro; her brother, Dr. William (Freda) Freeman of Conway, Arkansas; and her sister, Jenny (Steve) Mitchell of Jonesboro. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Gavin, Zane, and Jillian Warren, and her great-grandchild, Atlas. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, beginning at 1:00 p.m., with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. John Miles. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the North East Arkansas Humane Society, in honor of Loretta's lifelong love for animals.
