It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randy Lee Marler, a beloved husband and father, on August 29, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on January 13, 1960, in Rockford, Illinois, Randy, a devoted locksmith and owner of Marler Lock and Key, touched the lives of many with his skills and warm demeanor.
Randy was a member of Central Baptist Church in Paragould. He was known for his hard work ethic, his love for travel, and his passion for watching the Dallas Cowboys. Randy pursued a career as a locksmith and proudly owned and operated Marler Lock and Key. His commitment to his job was matched only by his love for his family. Randy cherished spending time with his wife, Misty, and was a devoted father and grandfather. His family held a special place in his heart, especially his grandkids that affectionately referred to him as "Ranran."
Randy enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, finding joy in the time spent with his loved ones and creating lasting memories together. He will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to those he cared for most.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mary Marler, and his sister, Bonnie Staggs.
Randy leaves behind his loving wife, Misty Marler; daughter, Shannon "Katy" (Alan) Thompson; step-children, Sadie Coleman and Spencer Patty; grandchildren, Kelly Thompson, Logan Thompson, Fox Thompson, Micki Thompson, and Sofia Ramirez; sister, Barbara Byassee; brother, Dennis (Claudia) Marler; as well as a community that will always remember him for his craftsmanship and kindness. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services and ceremonies to honor Randy's life will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Heath Funeral Home beginning at 3:00 PM. with Danny Adams officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery, under the direction of Heath Funeral Home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Alan Thompson, Aaron Davis, Gary Simons, Drake Lowe, Charlie Cooper, and Keith Milligan.
