Roger Looney Obituary

Roger Allen Looney Jr. of Trumann departed this life on Friday, February 14th at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 50 years 2 months and 29 days. Mr. Looney was born in Flint, Michigan and had lived most of his lifetime in the Trumann area. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of God in Marked Tree. He loved watching the Razorbacks, Cardinals and NASCAR. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Shalonda Hill Looney and his father, Roger Allen Looney, Sr. Mr. Looney is survived by one daughter, Katie Alexis Looney of Trumann; one son, Kristian Allen Looney of Trumann; mother, Linda June Foster Thomas of Trumann; in-laws, Raymond and Karen Hill of Trumann; three sisters, Laura Baxter and Raven Armstrong both of Jonesboro and Rhonda Stringer of Trumann; two brothers, Larry Wilson of Brookland and Michael Looney of Bay; The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 23rd from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grace Point Church of God on Christy Street in Trumann. A Celebration of life will be Monday, February 24th at 10:00 AM at the Grace Point Church of God with Rev. Shannon Tribble and Ralph Guthrie officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg, Ark., under the care of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Hill, Kenie Hill, Austin Hill, Byron Hill, Raymond Hill, Dylan White, Lathan Rouse and Kyle Bell.
